Rein in rebels: Naga youths
The Telegraph | Kohima, April 2:
Naga youths today asked the government to rein in militants who are unleashing terror in the state in the name of Naga nationalism.
Fed up with fratricidal killings between the Naga rebel groups that have claimed hundreds of innocent lives, besides unabated extortions, kidnappings and ransom calls by the militants, thousands of peace-loving Naga youths today took to the streets of Kohima urging the government to take steps.
The rally, which was organised by the Angami Youth Organisation (AYO), was supported by several other Naga organisations. They assemb-led at downtown Kohima Public Ground and later marched to the secretariat. They submitted a memorandum to home minister Imkong L. Imchen, asking the government to prevail over those who had defied the voice of the people.
