Against the backdrop of the absence of the highest leaders of the NSCN/GPRN (I-M)at the Chiangmai 14 on May 26,the meeting took place but without adopting any new resolutions except to reschedule another meeting, in deference to the views expressed by the leaders of the two political groups-GPRN/NSCN (Khole-Kitovi) and NNC/FGN, disclosed a statement issued by the FNR.
According to FNR, ‘Brig’Singya (NNC/FGN) reiterated that they stood by “their commitment to reconcile and unite.” ‘Gen’Khole lamented that in meetings “we talk big” but that “when we go home,we wash our hands.”
