Realization comes at the end
Herojit Philem *
One spring dawn
A rose was budding
In the garden of my heart
She is the most beautiful flower
I have ever seen.
Glancing her every moment
My thoughts were drown
In sweet scented dew
Forgetting she has thorns
I shared all my secrets.
As with the passes of time
She grew mature like my rhyme
I had full confidence to get her-
To adorn my verses
To tittle my poems.
I felt much sorry
When she didn't greet me 'hi'
Even after humming love songs
Like an insane bee
On her red beauty petals.
Yesterday I saw her dancing
In the magical music of spring breeze
She was celebrating her happiness
In the lap of seasonal wind
Which is rich in aroma.
Today as I walked to look her
My eyes were filled with tears-
When I didn't saw her blooming;
My heart was wailing
Thinking she had eloped.
As I was moving from the place
An angelic voice in pain called me.
I saw her laying on the lawn
Her petals were not as before
But still she is my darling rose.
''I would have chosen you,
I would have listened your secrets,
Enjoying the momentary scented breeze
I ignored you and breeze betrayed me
I'm decaying now,'' were her last words.
