Private schools in Ukhrul appeal to armed groups

In the wake of monetary demand served to the private schools by an armed group in Ukhrul, the Joint Action Committee for Welfare of Private Schools (JAC-WOPS) has appealed to responsible organization to refrain from such activities and honour the sanctity of the schools.
Few days earlier, reliable reports stated that suspected UNPC cadres have served a monetary demand of Rs. 50,000 each to every private school located in Ukhrul town.
Blast in Ukhrul Miscreant lobbed a bomb and exploded at the residence of Rv.Pemthinggrace, near the old District Council in Ukhrul at about 9.05pm on Sunday.
