Police on alert to trace missing kids - Rebels' hand suspected
The Telegraph | Imphal, April 20:
Manipur police headquarters has alerted all police stations and commando units to be on maximum alert to trace four minor boys who have gone missing from Imphal West.
The police are suspecting the involvement of militants in the incident, though they do not have concrete evidence. No one has been arrested.
“We have alerted all the police stations and commando units to beef up frisking and checking activities to prevent the children from being taken outside Manipur. If they are taken through jungle routes, it may be difficult for us to find them. But the district superintendents of police are keeping in touch with central forces,” the director-general of police R. Baral said.
