Petty politics dividing Nagas: Jamir
Nagaland Post | Dimapur, Aug 1 (NPN)
Governor of Odisha and veteran Naga politician, Dr. S. C. Jamir has lamented on the loss of traditional values among Nagas which he said, has resulted in loss of courage and conviction in raising their voices against the wrongs in society.
He asserted that politically, Naga society has not been free from internal conflict of interests and aspirations and the inability to uphold the common good has led to the crisis. In this regard, Jamir mentioned about various issues such as- demand for a separate state by the Eastern Nagas, demand for an Alternative Political Arrangement in Manipur by Nagas living in that state, reiteration of exclusiveness by Central Nagas etc.
