Pain in the Emptiness
Potshangbam Nyaydhar *
Even the sky,
Seems to know my pain,
It has been getting darker
Just like my heart inside.
The sky is the only one,
That I can share,
My pain with,
The pain of missing my beloved.
Oh!... the sky God
So unfair with me,
Taking my dear away,
So near though far away.
Let it be a day or two,
But, the pain inside me,
Grows and gnaws me,
With no end in sight.
When i cry,
Even the sky
Is doing the same,
Drowning it in its emptiness.
Oh! Dear sky God,
You seem to be
The only one,
Feeling my loneliness.
A feeling so unbearable,
A feeling of wanting her back,
The one who have been so unfair
Taking my love away from me.
What remains is the sky,
Staring at this empty shell,
With the image of her smile,
Drifting in its unboundedness.
