PLA rebel in NIA custody
The Telegraph | Guwahati, March 9:
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has taken custody of a self-styled captain of the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) to question him about the outfit’s links with Maoists. An NIA source told The Telegraph that they have taken PLA cadre Dhiren Singh alias Raghu, who was arrested in Calcutta last month, into custody for interrogation.
The investigating agency believes that Dhiren Singh’s interrogation will shed more light on the nexus between the CPI (Maoist) and the PLA.
The 37-year-old accused, hailing from Cachar district in Assam, was arrested by the Special Task Force of Calcutta police on February 4.
