PLA warns of attacks on security forces
Seven Sisters Post | Yumnam Rupachandra | 5 Aug, 2012 at 11:15
Guns in the hills and plains of Manipur are set to boom once again, if a threat of attacks on security forces by the proscribed armed organisation People’s Liberation Army (PLA), the armed wing of Revolutionary People’s Front (RPF), holds any water.
The announcement comes in the wake of an encounter the cadres of PLA had with troops from the Assam rifles on July 29 near Khoibu Centre in Chandel district. RPF’s publicity chief Taoh angsu Heiremcha, in a press release, said the PLA would launch attacks using bombs and heavy weapons and asked people to stay away from military establishments.
