Owner of your voice
Moirangthem Minakshi Devi *
Your arid lips pillaged of words now sleep
With indifference stretching them straight.
And those who were here,
Only came to borrow an ear from you,
Much to the dismay of your own cries you stifled.
What were you to say after all,
When you brought this curse of empathy
Upon yourself that you denied hearing.
Your own gut warning you from reaching
Those who never wanted you but only what you had.
You can't even dump this catastrophe,
That would make it too easy for you.
Something that shouldn't be.
Rather it redeems itself in the cacophony
Of the words you write dipping,
That quill in the wells of your tears .
For voices aren't heard hear just their effects are see,
Sometimes enjoyed, by those you can't see,
Despite them being around.
