Org warns Manipur police over assault case

The Senapati District Students’ Association (SDSA) denounces the Manipur police authorities for failing to book the persons responsible for an alleged assault of three Naga youths on May 10 “by some suspected Kuki youths from Haipi village” in Manipur. The SDSA has warned that the organization would react ‘without any reservation’ if the matter is not addressed at the earliest.
The SDSA issued a press release today. According to the organization the incident happened at Kalapahar bazaar, under Kangpokpi police station. “It may be noted that, a police team from Kangpokpi police station arrived at scene but did nothing to stop the ugly incident but allow those intoxicated youths to seriously injure those three innocent youths.
