An endless stretch of a moment’s glory
Magic, dreamlike and vanishing
For a moment, once shared with careless gaiety
A moment now spent so dearly
But a moment you and I couldn’t hold forth
A moment that has abandoned remembrance
The remembrance that was yesterday
Only yesterday.
The sand of time in an hour-glass
Visible and flowing at it’s most wicked pace
Behaving like a possessed soul
Yet, defeated at it’s own game
And in one of those day’s moments
In one of those moment’s days
You painted my sky with those taunting colours
Unlike someone destined to meet me someday
Then the hourglass became free
Rolling restless ups and downs independently
Changing pace, faster, faster and slower
It seemed only yesterday
Only yesterday.
This pain of losing you midway
This fear of us parting ways
This time of us becoming a mere memory
This day of us becoming yesterday
This friendship
This loud laughter
This sweet enmity
This remembrance…
Wish this doesn’t become yesterday
Not to become a memory tomorrow
Not to say oh! those days and moments
…Only Yesterday!
