One Day in Heaven
Parthajit Borah *
Floating souls in the sky pray for redemption.
My ears are widen for mellifluous tune of the heaven.
I sink in the soft ocean of emotion to lose myself.
Showering of flowery hopes wash permanent flecks of my heart.
The glittering ray of the Parijat travels me to an aesthetic world to feel myself in my own world.
The transparent hearts of the angels flow a tiny wish for resurrection of lost heavenly bliss.
My plump fingers move relenentlessly towards the boundless roof of the horizon for the answer of arid questions.
Flight of fallen angels convey the message of revolution,
Screaming over qualms.
Tiring hands often enjoin to pray Lord for atonement and healing of heart.
