One Day I'll, Just You Wait
- Deep from the Soul -
K. Radhakumar *
All too soon
My part is played
And the play over.
Before I do not know what is happening
The sun will go below the western horizon.
I will be home soon
But the one I am waiting for
Has not come yet;
Not yet,
Not yet.
Never have I seen her face
Nor heard her voice
But she is more real
Than my lifelong companion
The one I team up with
For crossing the bridge
Over the river of life.
Where are you?
The light of my life!
Come here, my dear.
You are so near and yet so far.
Now after so many years
I begin to think
You have already come.
How it has escaped my notice?
Have I looked for you
In every nook and cranny of my life?
What am I waiting for?
Waiting,
Just waiting for you!
Is it the modern way of life
And the way of all flesh?
