North East Cell, BJP, Delhi Pradesh organized North East India BJP Karyakartas Sammelan 2022

The North East Cell, Bharatiya Janata Party, Delhi Pradesh under the leadership of Ms. Linda Newmai, convenor and Shri. Mughavi A Tuccu, co-convenor organized North East India BJP Karyakartas Sammelan 2022 under the theme “Celebrating the Diversities of North East India,” on 13th November 2022 at 14, Pt. Pant Marg, New Delhi. Eminent politicians, leaders and statements spoken on the issues faced by the North East community living in Delhi.

The guest speakers include Smt. Meenakashi Lekhi, Hon’ble Union Minister of State for External Affairs and Culture, Government of India; Shri. Maharaja Leishemba Sanajaoba, Hon’ble Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha, Manipur; Shri. Satish Upadhyay, Vice Chairman MCD & Former President Delhi State Pradesh, BJP; Shri. Y. T. Lepcha, MLA, BJP Sikkim; Shri. Atul Singhal, OSD and Media Advisor to Governor of Assam and Nagaland; Shri. Neeraj Tiwari, Secretary, BJP Delhi Pradesh.

Around 1000 people from the North East community living in Delhi participated in the event. Smt. Meenakashi Lekhi spoke how the North East community can be vital in bringing BJP victory in the coming MCD election.

Shri. Satish Upadhyay shared the need of active campaigning in the pockets where North East community is concentrated more and announced the office bearers of North East Cell, BJP, Delhi Pradesh. Ms. Linda Newmai as convenor; Shri. Mughavi A Tuccu as co-convenor; Shri. T. Ashuhrii Romeo – Secretary; Shri. Kabir Hazarika – Secretary; Shri. Uttam Chakma- Secretary; Ms. Ghritashri Bhuyan Narula- Assam State In-charge; Ms. Liyi Marli Noshi – Arunachal Pradesh state in-charge; Mr. Imtisoa Aier- Nagaland State In-charge; Dr. M. Manoj Singh as Manipur State In-charge.

The developments and growth of the North East region under Hon’ble Prime Minister, Shri. Narendra Modi ji initiatives were highlighted by Shri. Maharaja Leishemba Sanajaoba and Shri. Y. T. Lepcha. Shri. Neeraj Tiwari spoke on the schemes and facilities provided by the Modi government. On this occasion Atul Singhal said North East direction is considered very auspicious in Indian culture.

Any auspicious work is done by facing North East direction, so respected Prime Minister and Hon'ble Governor also says that North East is auspicious and they implement these schemes from these States. Cultural performances were performed by Rongmei and Manipuri communities along with folk songs by Gaigou.
