Nepal woos N-E travellers - Tourism board holds first roadshow in the region

The Nepal Tourism Board has embarked on an aggressive marketing drive to woo tourists from the Northeast, buoyed by the surge in visitors to the Himalayan kingdom from the region.
“We want the traveller to visit Buddha’s birthplace — Lumbini this year. The board has already come up with its promo tag, Naturally Nepal: Once is not Enough. This is to woo travellers for a repeat visit. Of late, we have introduced homestays in and around Kathmandu valley apart from introducing more adventure sport disciplines,” the board official said.
“With no visas required, Nepal has always been an accessible to the Indian traveller. Besides, the board has also set up a tourist crisis cell and police department to cater to the travellers.”
