Nagas find a voice beyond militancy : Northeast Echoes

A movement that has lasted over half a century and has more debits than credits in its profit and loss account is at last being publicly critiqued. The National Socialist Council of Nagalim, led by Isak Swu and Th. Muivah, is facing a challenge from the very society that had been coerced to support it all these years.
The credit for initiating a public platform for dissent goes to those who started The Naga Blog (TNB).
This platform afforded anonymity to those who wanted to air their dissent against the insurgent outfits who claim to be fighting for the Naga national cause against the Government of India which has for long been projected as a colonial power even when people have long decided that they prefer the democratic ethos to wars of attrition. Now, under the banner of the Action Committee Against Unabated Taxation (ACAUT), several issues have been addressed.
