Seven Sister Post | Kohima (July 23)
Nagaland, the land of over a dozen tribes and many more sub-tribes speaking different dialects, is facing the crisis of a common language. “We need a common language in Nagaland to communicate with one another,” Nagaland director of school education B Tingshem Konyak has said while addressing a function at Nagaland University Kohima Campus recently. Stating that ‘Nagamese’ has weak grammatical structure, he emphasised on the need to think over on its usage in the future.
