'Naga leaders compromise the future of Naga people'

The NPF MLA, Kuzholuzo (Azo) Nienu today lamented that many Naga leaders compromise the future of the Naga people with any situation for their selfish interest and personal benefit.
Speaking at the Naga People’s Front, Central Youth Wing ‘Mini Youth Rally’ here at the Central office, the MLA said that many Naga leaders go up-to to the amount of even destroying the future of the Naga people at the behest of their self development.
The MLA also rubbishes that many present Ministers of the PDA Government is misleading the people, referring to the ongoing Assembly session, the MLA said they (Ministers) disrespect the Assembly proceeding and mislead the people even on the pertinent issue, which was raised by the opposition members in the floor of the House.
Azo Nienu also reiterated that the NPF party is the only party, which is deeply rooted with the Naga people and the Naga identity and called upon the party leaders for better co-relation among one another and strengthened the party. “Time has come to strengthen the party while being in the opposition instead of thinking only to take over the Government”, he maintained.
The MLA also reminded that no other political party whatsoever can protect the Naga people and its identity and if the NPF party is vanishes; it will be the greatest defeat for the Naga people. Therefore, Azo called upon the party leaders to stick with the party principle and ideology and protect the Naga identity and be courageous to stand for the party and the Naga people.
Speaking on the topic, “Role of Youth in Oppostion”, Er.Loguseng Semp, ex-candidate pointed out that in a democratic government, as opposition, the youths are the watchdog to check the government for proper implementation and utilization of the Government funding for the welfare of the people and called upon the youths to be responsible and accountable for better governance.
He also insist the youths to put pressure on government and raise question on behalf of the people and to give constructive criticism so that the policy makers in the government will be influence and work for the betterment of the people.
Another speaker, Dr. Lmwang Konyak, General Secretary (Central) who spoke on the topic, “Role of Social Media in Opposition” highlighted that, momentous transition in the current history of social transformation in the world of technology has evolved, so we must utilized it to spread out positive political messages to the citizens. “Being in opposition, we must rectify that social media is not an exclusive platform for the power holders”, he added.
He also called upon the youths that though being in the opposition to be more active and genuinely engage in social media and create a new way to reach to the citizens for the development of the party and the society.
Meanwhile, s special greeting to the rally was delivered by, Dr. Huskha Yepthomi Working President, Women Wing and Farmers Wing.
Earlier, the programme was chaired by Youth Wing Vice President, Achamo Kikon, invocation prayer by Manpha Konyak, Secretary while welcome address was delivered by Vihoshe Swu, President and vote of thanks was pronounced by Supoyi Vezhu, Vice President.
In a significant initiative, the youth wing has presented a natural plant to all the special guest, which symbolize a gift of the mother nature. A huge congregation of youth office bearers representing from all the Divisional units including Manipur state unit has participated.
