Naga Peoples' Front (NPF) to undertake post mortem on Manipur polls
Nagaland Post | Kohima, Mar 14 (NPN)
“Whatever people may say, we’ve done very well and this is a beginning, a good beginning”, he said when asked for his comment while talking to some media persons. NPF entered into Manipur politics for the first time and that too came very late, he pointed out.
Dr Shurhozelie however admitted that he like many others still could not believe that the Congress had won 42 seats. He revealed that he had asked his party men to take up a thorough post mortem so as to know what had gone wrong and also familiarize with Manipur politics.
Indirectly casting aspersion of possible foul play, he said that election was held when both the centre and the state were led by the Congress. He further pointed out that the EVMs were kept under the government custody for more than a month after the election was over.
