In a bid to cleanse the Naga society, the NSCN (IM) has decided to impose a blanket ban on alcoholism in Nagaland.
The moves comes in the wake of NSCN (IM) chairman Isak Chishi Swu's recent visit to the Hebron Camp, wherein the outfit decided to carry out operations to detect smuggling of liquor in the state and punish the guilty. The outfit carried out raids in different places of Dimapur in the past few days and seized huge quantity of assorted IMLF, banned drugs, 1 kg of heroin, banned cough syrups and destroyed them on Thursday in the presence of various NGOs and the media at Doyapur.
