NSCN-K sets term for peace
Assam Tribune | Kohima, July 5
The NSCN-K Ceasefire Supervisory Board (CSB) supervisor Lincoln has stated that the group is willing to stop all forms of factional violence provided the Khole-Kitovi faction also agrees to totally stop it. He stated this while interacting with media persons after the closed-door meeting of the Ceasefire Supervisory Board in Kohima on Tuesday.
Reacting to the statement of Centre’s representative and CSB Chairman Maj Gen (retd) N George that “factional clashes between the groups have reached a stage not conducive for public safety”, Lincoln said, “We are for peace,” adding that if he (George) is in a position to convene a joint sitting with other groups, NSCN-K is willing to talk across the table in order to stop all forms of factional violence”.
