NSCN-K destroys rival camp - 2 rebels dead, arms looted
The Telegraph | Kohima, March 30:
National Socialist Council of Nagaland (Khaplang) cadres overran a designated camp of the rival Khole-Kitovi faction in the wee hours today and escaped with large quantities of arms and ammunition before razing the camp to the ground.
The designated camp at Sangphure village in Kiphire district, nearly 350km from here, had around 40 Khole-Kitovi faction cadres at the time of the attack.
NSCN (K) military spokesman Lt Col Isak Sumi said their cadres raided the rival camp after a round of heavy shelling that started around 2am today. He said though two cadres, one each of both groups, were killed in the raid, their identities were yet to be ascertained.
