The collected stuffs shall be distributed to the most needy persons who are either inaccessible to such items due to the lockdown or are unable to afford such items due to zero or less earning during this lockdown.
The details of donations/contributions as well as utilizations of such donations/contribution shall be submitted to the NPF Central Office. This activity will go on till the lockdown period is over.
Meanwhile, the NPF appreciated the Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi’s announcement of Relief Package for COVID-19.
The inclusion of Sanitation Workers, Doctors and Nurses in the relief package will definitely boost their morale in combating the most dreaded pandemic. Another area of concern which was addressed in the Relief Package is the increase of MNREGA wage from Rs. 182 to Rs. 202.
Since, the announcement of Relief Package is for the whole country which will cover all the States and Union Territories in India, the NPF urge the PDA Government to use the Relief Package judiciously for the sake of the citizens of Nagaland.
The party also suggested that unlike other times, the present pandemic is life threatening and therefore the Government of the day should make every funding in this regard transparent so that even if there is shortage of fund or man power, citizens of Nagaland will surely come forward in shouldering the responsibility together if only Government of the day executes things in a transparent manner.
It is also difficult to comprehend as to what the quarantine Centres which the Government has already earmarked would serve if there is no adequate Doctors and Nurses as well as the required medical safety kits and equipments.
The party insisted that the Government do all the needful in all the districts in Nagaland and not only confined to Dimapur and Kohima.
