NNC rules out tie-up with NSCN
The Telegraph | Kohima, Feb. 21:
The Naga National Council (NNC) led by Adinno Phizo has ruled out unification with the factions of the National Socialist Council of Nagalim (Isak-Muivah). The Federal Government of Nagaland (FGN) of the council said it could not unite with the groups which were struggling for power through a foreign political ideology known as socialism.
“Our mandated political institution and government are simply defending the Naga national rights and territories and not fighting for the establishment of a foreign political ideology in our land,” the FGN said in a statement.
