NE students protest assault on Naga youths
Seven Sisters Post | New Delhi (July 6):
Close on the heels of a Central guideline to states to keep vigil against attacks on Northeasterners, three Naga youths were severely beaten up allegedly by locals in South Delhi’s Vasant Kunj, leading to a widespread protest in the national capital on Friday.
Police reportedly arrested two persons involved in the “unprovoked” attack on Immanuel, Kamengalang and Bankham on Thursday night after hundreds of Northeastern students gheraoed the Vasant Kunaj North police station.
