NE regional front not to join UPA

The pre-poll alliance negotiations between the Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) and BJP may have fallen through, but there still exists a possibility of the regional party joining the Third Front, as the body of regional parties, the North East Regional Political Front (NERPF) has categorically ruled out the possibility of joining the UPA.
The body of 10 regional parties of the region in fact has strong leanings towards the BJP, with two of its partners already joining the NDA. The PA Sangma-led National Peoples’ Party (NPP) and N Rio-led NPF have joined the NDA bandwagon.
