NE community to launch stir in Delhi
Nagaland Post | Agencies | New Delhi, May 25 ()
Northeast student groups and fora are gearing up for a large protest in front of the Bar Council on Tuesday against lawyers who allegedly attacked five northeastern students and a woman lawyer at Tis Hazari courts on Friday. NE student groups are also petitioning the Bar Council of India and the Chief Justice of India to act against such “misconduct” by lawyers.
“We are planning a large protest against such horrid behaviour. There have been no arrests yet. The youths who were attacked are still feeling threatened and unsafe. We strongly condemn the attack,” David Boyes of North East India Forum Against Racism said.
