NE Springfest-2012 grand finale in the offing

The grand finale of the 4th edition of NE Spring Festival will see some mesmerising performances in a folk & fusion music concert with some of the best groups from the North East Region.
On March 23 the major highlights of the grand finale will include performances by Tetseo Sisters (Nagaland) who have created a niche for themselves in the field of folk singing from their childhood and are popular all over the country. Rewben Mashangva (Manipur) - undoubtedly a star performer in the field of folk fusion will perform to the accompaniment of Naga fiddle – Tingteila, Yangkhahui- the traditional Bamboo Trumpet/flute.
He is well known for his folk blues highlighting social concerns that haunts the society through his appealing songs. He has been recently awarded the prestigious National Award - “National Tribal Award” by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India for his outstanding contribution in the field of tribal music.
