NCC plans to set academy in NE

The National Cadet Corps (NCC), India’s military youth movement in schools and colleges, has proposed to set up its training academy in all the northeastern states to meet the aspirations of the youth of the country.
Major General R.K.Sharma said the group commanders of the NCC based in the other Northeastern states – Meghalaya, Mizoram, Arunachal Pradesh, Tripura and Manipur – would also soon submit a proposal to the respective government to allot land to establish the academy.
