Myanmar onion enters Imphal
Assam Tribune | Imphal, Sept 21
The recent price rise in food grains has started to hit the tiny border State forcing the traders here to buy onion from Myanmar while the State Government began mobile rice distribution
Reports claimed that traders from Guwahati and Dimapur have also started to buy Myanmar onion from Manipur. Non-availability of onion won’t affect Manipur much as in Manipuri society onion can be replaced by ‘Maroi napakpi’.
