My trusted friend
Dr Ranbir Laishram *
In this journey of life,
Along the way, I met you.
Blooming into a friendship.
Closer you came to my heart,
The more you made me believe,
A trustworthy friend that you are.
I gave my brotherly affection.
Down the lane of our journey ,
You swindled me.
You have gained, I have lost.
You left me dangling in the mid,
Wondering relentlessly.
Could it be interim or enduring ?
It haunted me.
But my friend,
Late at night, in solitude,
I forgave you for my inner peace .
Also myself, for my ignorance.
A life lesson, never to be forgotten.
I have grown in spirit and wisdom.
But my friend,
Before retiring to bed at night,
Please stand before the mirror once.
See the person in front,
If you can cheat that person,
Well I accepted my defeat.
But ask once that person in front,
Who is with you right there
And who will be with you till your last breath.
Ask just one question,
Are you doing justice to that person ?
Will that person ever forgive you ?
