Movement of Changki villagers restricted by NSCN (IM)
Morung Express | Mokokchung, April 9 (MExN): :
After passing its ‘Azha’ on the Changki village four weeks ago, the NSCN (IM) is reportedly restricting the citizens of Changki village from moving to and from the village in Mokokchung. With each passing day, an uneasy calm prevails in the Changki village and the Longnak valley after the ‘Azha’ was imposed by the NSCN (IM).
A highly reliable source from Changki village (a village leader) disclosed that the Changki to Dimapur bus was halted at near Longtho and was forced to turn back to the village today.
Another group of Changki citizens who came to visit the village, and returning to Kohima were forced to turn back near Chungtia village territory in Mokokchung. The movement of the Changki citizens in the different private and commercial vehicles is being strictly frisked by the NSCN (IM) and they are not allowed to move freely, the source said.
