Seven Sisters Post | David Mayum | Moreh (June 14):
The Manipur government has sought Centre’s approval for an ambitious plan to develop Moreh along the Myanmar border as a township of international standard.
Chief minister Okram Ibobi on Thursday wrote a letter to the Union urban development minister Kamal Nath informing the latter about the state government’s plan to acquire 2,000 acres of land at Moreh to build the township.
Ibobi also appealed to the minister to send experts to Moreh and prepare a master plan for the township.
