MOIRANG INDIAN NATIONAL ARMY MARTYRS MEMORIAL CAMPAIGN:
REMEMBERING THE INA IN THE 75TH YEAR OF INDEPENDENCE
(12 – 15 AUGUST 2022)
1. The Contribution of Indian National Army under Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose remained hidden in the Fog of History, for a long time. It is being recognized over the past few decades, and a historical wrong is being corrected.
2. What better time to honour their Story and Memory in the 75th Year of Independence Celebration?
3. The largest Youth Organisation in the Country, the National Cadet Corps considers it a privilege, on behalf of our Country, to honour the Memory of the INA, those who Fell in Battle, and those who Lived. The three Day Campaign from 12 to 15 Aug 2022 is driven by the National Cadet Corps, Dept of Art and Culture, Govt of Manipur, Border Security Force and the Assam Rifles IGAR (South).
4. National Cadet Corps, whose Motto itself is “UNITY & DISCIPLINE”, the National Cadets Corps, considers it a privilege, on behalf of our Country to honour the Memory of the INA, those who Fell in Battle, and those who Lived. Their Blood is part of the Soil of Moirang, and the Coming Generations should ‘NEVER FORGET’.
5. The Memorial Campaign commenced on 12 August by Staff and Cadets of NCC Group Imphal congregating at the Moirang INA Martyr’s Memorial and carrying out cleaning of the Statue of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, the “ITTEFAQ, ETMAD, QURBANI’ Monument and the Memorial Complex. The Cadets stated that this Memorial is more of a Temple and not just a Public place, and it is their honour to clean the Complex.
