Minority scheme fails in Manipur
Seven Sisters Post | Yumnam Rupachandra | Imphal (May 8)
ven with the Rs 200-crore meant for minority students made available for Manipur, the MOBC and SC Department of Government of Manipur is unable to deliver the service to the students. This became evident following a consultation program called by the National Commission for Minority, whose Vice Chairperson Dr. HT Sangliana is here on a two-day visit.
“Please indicate the name of the community with an alphabet so that distinction can be made,” he told the officials. State minority commission chairperson Helim Choudhury, MOBC & SC principal secretary W. Hangsing and Director, K Dineshchandra were also present at the meeting.
The meeting was attended by several leaders from Muslim, Christian, Meitei Sanamahi, and Buddhist communities.
