Nagaland Post | Dimapur, May 31 (NPN)
Meluri Village Council (MVC) Thursday asserted that the Nyuza Rüku (stream) is the “original” traditional boundary between Meluri and Jessami.
In a statement, MVC chairman Rholetho and secretary Kuothosie said that Jessami Village Council (JVC) not admitting that they have not erected the stones recently in Thechü (jiji) river could not be denied as it was “witnessed by the hohos”.
The council has also refuted JVC claim that ‘Linobu’ a depression towards Thechü river from Tevuno was the boundary between Meluri and Jessami, adding that it was “not mentioned in any documents”.
