Youth’s Forum for Protection of Human Rights (YFPHR) along with the
Social Youth Progressive Organization,
Youths Action Committee for Protection of Indigenous People,
Young People for Social Reform and
Khangabok Development and Students’ Union
had organized a Mass Rally / Youth’s Voice on Climate Change
in connection with GLOBAL WEEK for FUTURE and the
Friday for Future Global Campaign on Climate Change
on the 20th of September, 2019
at THAU Ground (Rally to be started) and meeting at Lamyanba Shanglen.

The Global Week for Future is a collective call by the youth against the system for the delay in responding to climate crisis which is becoming a serious crisis globally.
Slogans:
1. “We Want Change, The system Change not Climate Change”,
2. “Implement Manipur State Action plan on Climate Change”
3. “Politicians come out of the AC Room”
4. “Save Earth there is no Planet B”

Following are the resolution of the the Youth’s Voice on Climate Change:
1. To demand the state to implement the Manipur State Action Plan on Climate Change, 2013 immediately.
2. To establish Wind mill at the possible sites.
3. To frame a policy to use electric brick makers in all the brick fields.
4. To frame a solar policy and equal distribution be made to the public without giving special privileges to the Government’s near one.

5. To make the 10-20 years water resource (if there is any than kindly make it public)
6. To Frame a Policy to practice the public, private sector and the government to reduce using fossil for two days a week and making them use the public transport.
7. To decommission all the defunct dams in Manipur for contributing to climate change.
8. To stop the unsustainable developmental projects which destroys the environment by cutting trees at large scale like Dams, Expansion of Road, Railway Projects, Oil Exploration, Power Grid lines, etc in the state of Manipur.
