Mass Anti Drug Rally at Lilong on 18th February 2018
An anti drug rally was organized on 18 Feb 2018 by 5 JAK RIF of 9 Sector Assam Rifles under aegis of IGAR(South) in coordination with Volunteers of Anti Drug organisations namely ALADA (All Lilong Anti Drug Association), Anjuman, ASPO(Anti Social Preventive Organization) and ICRO (Islamic Cultural Research Organization) at Lilong with an aim to demonstrate the theme 'UNITED WE STAND TO FIGHT AGAINST DRUGS FOR A DRUG FREE MANIPUR'.
A 7 km Anti drug peaceful procession march was organised with hoardings and banners of Anti drug slogans wherein approximately 600 locals participated which also included students from various Madrasaas and schools of Lilong.

The procession march started from ALADA Office, opposite of Madrassa Alia Lilong Litan Makhong at 11:00 AM and ended at Lilong Mayai Lekai Idgah ground at around 12:15 PM. A public meeting and felicitation programme was then carried out to appreciate the members of ASPO who have been actively involved in eradication of drugs and assisting Army, Police and Narcotic Cells till about 01:00 PM.
The programme was graced by 9 Sector Commander Brig Amit Kabhtiyal, Commandingly Officer 5 JAK RIF Col Amit Bedi, SP Thoubal Gautam Singh, SP NAB Watham Basu, Superintendent NCB Vikas Kumar. Among the civil dignitaries there were Nominee Zila Parishad's Faizal, Chairperson of ALADA, Mr Qatei Quayamuddin, Anjuman, Mr Habibulla, ICRO, Moulana Saifuddin and ASPO, Mrs. Ahamdi.
This Anti drug peaceful procession march was first of its kind event at Lilong which was highly appreciated by locals and was a huge step forward towards Drug free Manipur.
