Mary set on Olympic gold

Life has become "doubly painful", M.C. Mary Kom said smilingly here on Saturday but in the same vein accepted that she will have to put up with the pain if she wants to realise her dream of winning an Olympic gold.
Fresh from her gold medal (48kg) show at the ASBC Asian Confederation Women's Boxing Championship in Vietnam early this month, Mary said it was becoming tough to maintain the standard she has set for herself. "Life is becoming doubly painful with so many responsibilities. But I am still managing time to practise and participate in important meets. There is no gain without pain," Mary, a Rajya Sabha MP and a mother of three, said.
