Mao Cup 2010- part I
Rojio Usham *
Amidst the pomp and chaos
Of our history being made
Spare a thought for me,
Who ran here and there close,
kick-off by 22 players,
despite not being paid?
I am a football among many,
kick-off between Taibi and Moivah
in this summer football season.
It is that time of the year
Eighteen football got burst
another two or three this time.
How many more?
I can't say.
When men in the pub talk
about the game
as they enjoy their beer
And look forward to the end
when one club will fly the winner's flag
The team that wins the Premiership
will become a double slave.
This is the football season
the game has gone to their head
About their team they feel so passionate
as if to them it did belong
And 'tis with delight and pride
in victory that they sing the club song.
So for whom to shout for this summer?
For anyone it will be such a bummer
Some say they won’t watch it at all
So raw is the wound, we the football
Sit and watch ourselves
waiting when will we get burst.
Listen to debating the two coaches
Pointless questions they ask
their khaki and comouflage players
But my every thought, every thought
of this non-living thing,
who can burst anytime
if they kick me many time.
For me it will be a misery,
The misery of being nothing,
No Taibi flair nor Moivah mentality,
No Great China wall nor Indian Himalaya.
And that moment I was manufactured to see,
I will never see, again and again,
I'll say never again,
"You will ease the pain"
Make it all better, end the shame.
