Representing Manipur, the Writers' Forum of Imphal has displayed over 1000 books on the state's literature, art and culture in the ongoing biennial "World Book Fair New Delhi 2012" at Pragati Maidan. The forum is one of the leading literary bodies of Manipur.
This is the first time that Manipur has joined the fair organized by the National Book Trust(NBT) under the theme "Indian Cinema", said a statement issued by Manipur Information Centre, New Delhi. Assam and Tripura have also taken part in the event.
Chingangbam Anupama, a research scholar working on Manipuri literature, was so glad to see such a large number of Manipuri books that he bought all books written by Yumlembam Ibomcha and Thangjam Ibopishak.
