- 19th Feb Sunday 2012 -
The event is on this 19th Feb Sunday 2012. The festival is to upgrade India and Japan friendship ties and named as Japan Habba (Japan Festival) (Habba in Kannada means festival). This year is for the 60th diplomatic relation between the two nations.
The event is considered to contribute to promotion of exchanges between Japan and India in various fields (Culture, art, intellectual and academic exchange, sightseeing, education, sports and the likes),
Deepening mutual understanding and strengthening the friendship between the two countries.
As related to Manipur – We are planning to contribute a stall related to Manipuri culture. Last year 2011, Manipuri dance, Thoibi Jagoi, was firstly introduced in this festival. (I myself had contributed it).
