Wushu: India bagged five bronze medals in the Asian Wushu Championship held in Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam from August 19-25, writes our sports correspondent from Imphal.
Football: United Progressive Adults Association finished on top with 23 points in the M. Ibobi Singh Imphal East First Division League Tournament at Khuman Lampak sports complex.
Group Centre Langjing CRPF blanked Haoreibi North Sporting Club by two goals with L. Ingocha Singh and H. Jiban Singh getting the goals for CRPF. In another match, Yaiskul Athletic Club defeated Chajing Inat Kanba Lup by 3-1 goals.
AIFF: The AIFF had selected five state boys M. Dheeraj Singh, M. Jayananda Singh, T. Kishan Singh, L. Loyangamba Singh and L. Bedashwor Singh to join the AIFF Kolkata (Pailan) Academy on September 5.
