Manipur Distress Relief Work : Phase 1
The Ramakrishna Mission, Imphal, is continuing its relief services for the affected people of the recent ethnic clashes.
Relief items consisting of dry ration, bedding & clothing, toiletries, food supplements for infants & mothers, stationery for students, etc. were provided at 13 relief camps in 4 districts, Bishnupur, Imphal East, Imphal West and Kakching, benefiting 2300 affected people, from 617 families, worth more than rupees 5 lakh, in the month of August, 2023.
Earlier, during the first phase of the distress relief, from 10th May to 20th July, the Ramakrishna Mission distributed relief items worth more than 70 lakh rupees to over 120 relief camps, sheltering more than 18,000 affected people, from 5700 families, in 5 districts.
Manipur Distress Relief Work : Phase 1
The Ramakrishna Mission, Imphal, will soon start distributing thick blankets for the inmates of the relief camps as part of their winter relief efforts. Efforts are also being made to provide sustained educational support to the students & nutritional support for the expectant/nursing mothers residing in selected relief camps.
