MHA clarifies on FNR statement
Nagaland Post | Agencies | New Delhi, May 6 ()
Reacting to the Forum for Naga Reconciliation (FNR) statement, Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) clarified that there was no restriction imposed on the top leadership of NSCN (I-M) on participating in any meeting of the forum.
FNR had earlier stated that the travel of NSCN (I-M) leaders Isak Chishi Swu and Th. Muivah to attend the meeting in Kolkata was not cleared by Centre. However, MHA official said: “It is clarified that no request for travel either from NSCN (I-M) or the state government was ever received by the Home Ministry. Hence the question of denial of permission does not arise”.
