Life goes on
Ronald Keisham *
Life we had and life we live;
Those are the days and then are hell!
Struggling and shuddering how hard it feels;
The care we miss, the love we longed!
Life alone, caring for one’s self it is;
The hardship of life away from home!
Miserable self laundering, the so called food we had;
The tension, the hardship, the feelings of being so unsecured!
A good night sleep it is, we shall always miss;
Never had the feel of peace since long!
With all the criticism, with all these pushing around;
Why it is hard to concentrate well isn’t it obvious!
Even threats do come from elderly figures we hail high;
A failure you shall be if we don’t eat at canteen!
Life’s hard, hard as ever with all the accusations;
Of things I had never imagined, not even my parents accuse of, all this long!
For sure it is, I do have such an impression;
But if were at home, I shall still be regarded as a good ole boy!
Do had a feeling who are they to judge;
Well it’s a shame, appearance that’s what people were to judge!
Or being a show off that’s all needed to be;
What else, I am what I am and hates changes!
Still I thrive with all the hardship and still to come;
Certain extreme exposure do makes a man immune!
