Mumbai , 11th October, 2013

Bharatiya Janata Party is making a platform for professionals working in IT Sector, Education, Healthcare, Legal Firms and Financial Sectors across the country. #LetsTalkGovernance aims to get best IT brains to present position papers on how Information Technology can resolve governance issues hitting hard in the Country. Main objectives of this event is the use of collective wisdom for our progress which is at the heart of any true democracy; good governance for Antyodya (welfare of the weakest of the society).

A One Day National Level #LetsTalkGovernance was held at BJP Central Office, 11 Ashoka Road at New Delhi on 9th October 2013. Around 100 professionals have participated on the interaction programme which reach out and listen to tomorrow's industrial leaders; and to do a constructive dialogue for progress. News for #LetsTalkGovernance was announced in Social Media like Twitter, Facebook and Blogs on 7th October, 2013 and is the buzzword in Social Media today!

The First phase of #LetsTalkGovernance was kickstarted by Shri Nitin Gadkari Ji, Shri Mahendra Pandeyji, National Convenor of Cells and Morchas, Dr. Arvind Gupta, National Convenor IT Cell and Shri Sanjeev Singh, National Co-Convenor IT Cell in the presence of IT and Managements Alumnis from IIT, IIM and IISc. Shri Naorem Mohen Singh, State IT Cell Convenor also participated in the #LetsTalkGovernance as Organiser which will sow the seed of Good Governance in the state.

Inspired by Shri Nitin Gadkari ji, Chairman of BJP Vision Document and conceptualised by Shri Vinit Goenka, National Co-Convenor IT Cell of BJP, #LetsTalkGovernance ultimate vision is to make this Century the "Century of India". Shri Vinit Goenka's mission to encourage Professional presenting their Vision for the Country is the first time in the history of Indian politics. Common man's idea being listened by BJP is a landmark achievement of the Party. Shri Vinitji effort to organise such event is to facilitate participatory planning in drafting of Vision for our Country.

During the Event, Dr. Arvind Gupta talked about the prospects of Healthcare sector in the Country and proper implementation of IT would be helpful in making one of the best sectors for our economy. While Shri Sanjeev Singh reiterated that development of Bharat should be the main objective of #LetsTalkGovernance.

The young technologists of the country have plenty of ideas on how future developments plan should be done, how policies should be formed and how this country could be set on a path of fast, inclusive growth. But so far they have been denied of an opportunity to be heard of. Their opinions and thoughts have not been considered vital by the ruling party. This has left them frustrated most of the time and a sense of hopelessness is prevailing among them.

Main purpose of having #LetsTalkGovernance is to bring together people who have a strong, well thought out viewpoints on governance and who are keen to contribute to policy formation in this country.

We also believe that these young minds who would be our future industry leaders. They could be our National Wealth. We would give them a platform to showcase their ideas and then accumulate those and present them to the receptive audience in the political class - so some of these ideas can actually be pursued seriously and bring about the impact they are capable of.

The Information Technology Cell of the party has been focussing on good governance to serve people with transparency and free from corruptions. Shri Vinit Goenka has made it clear that, "We strongly believe we can transform our Country into a self reliant, developed and powerful and IT sector have a huge role in this process. With this confidence, I have initiated the event to ignite the minds of our IT professionals, policy makers and IT students." "We all dream of progressive India and most of us are keen to contribute in Nation Building with our knowledge and expertise. However, the current state of functioning of our democracy has left most of the educated and young people in India feeling disappointed," he added.

As predicted before the pre-event, the common voice of the nation is that people believe BJP is the only Organization which is required to make India strong. Shri Nitin Gadkari ji said that BJP is working on Socio-economic transformation using Technology. "We are also recommending a Department of E Governance and welcome suggestions from you all", Nitin ji added. In the word of Shri Nitin Gadkari ji, BJP is crowdsourcing policies to make India a super power!

Few distinguished paper presenters were Dr. Abhijit Lele, a Proud Alumni of Indian Institute of Science and having professional affiliation with IT brands like Samsung and Motorola. Abhijit presents on financial inclusion of the rural people and proposes Automatic Self Service Machine for rural usage, service and its application.

Sanjib Ghose, an Alumni of Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi proposed Integrated Public Distribution System (IPDS) which would enable government to go to the people, rather than people going to the government. Public Distribution System of the present UPA government is a complete mess up and people are suffering a lot. Sachin Shrivastava, an Alumni of IIT Kanpur processes standardization of Education system through National Education Grid, paving way for Global leaders of our student. Sachin Paithankar , an IT Outsourcing Professionals talks about Smart City, having smart health, smart bank and smart education system in the country. Om Kanwar from IIT Delhi brings out a documents which would be a relief for the judiciary by proposing National Digital Evidence Grid which would improve Law and Order in our Country.

Shri Vinit Goenka mentioned about "Planning in Advance and Planning in Detail" (Pruva Niyojan, Purna Niyojan) citing examples of National IT Task Force set up by NDA under the leadership of Shri Atal Behari Vajpayeeji as the most Powerful Prime Minister of the Country. BJP has been credited with the implementation of various IT related projects and policies, naming the infamous "Aadhaar" which the present UPA2 is taking credits of introduction. BJP had already proposed the Multipurpose Identity Card (MLIC) during the NDA regime.

Gujarat has been awarded for Best e-Governance. Shri Narendra Modi ji has made Gujarat a frontline State in the implementation of e-governance policies and projects and setting up of key infrastructure for E-Governance. The State has been successfully using ICT (Information and Communication Technologies) to offer citizen based service as per convenient location with an initiative to improve the reach, make services more transparent and reduce response time with reducing costs. The Government is also proactive in its Initiatives and ranks first state in the country to have made e-Governance functional in all its Municipalities and Municipal Corporations. It stands as an aspiring leader ranking to 31st Top Hotspots in the World and minimizing to reach the goal. This #LetsTalkGovernance will not end here, there will be a series of events in different segments with other eminent leaders of the party. There will be another fruitful session with Dr. Subramanian Swamiji on 15th October 2013 at BJP Central Office, 11, Ashoka Road in New Delhi at 4:00 PM. Dr. Swamy will interact with Professionals from IT Sectors on #LetsTalkGovernance.

Shri Nitin Gadkari ji, Chairman of the Vision Document Committee accepted #LetsTalkGovernance and has congratulated Shri Vinit Goenka ji for the Concept to bring a change in the Country. The tagline of #LetsTalkGovernance as per Vinit Goenka is simple, "You talk, We listen" which is the first step towards bringing common people's dreams and aspirations in Nation building.
