TODAY -
Let me shower moonlight
Parthajit Borah *
Trampled in your courtyard
I sow moonlight which lighted your bosom in the darkish night.
Descending your soul to lave
the dust of separation.
Fainted and withered lips waited
For a few droplets of love shower.
Ebonies of trees flowing teary brook
Shattered leaves embraced the human
reward without a single protest.
The small singing bird goes to the
mighty hill to lose herself in the
profundity of hillness.
The flying bees depart to the heaven
Rising impalpable to drink the green
beverage of nature.
I dry in the droughts of longings
Waiting for moonlight,
To light your soul.
