L Thonthoimgambi among six northeast women at FICCI award

Six women from the northeast have been awarded by the northeast chapter of the FILadies' Organization (FLO) for their contribution to society in different fields.
Tonthoimgambi Devi won the National Film Award this year as the best supporting actress for her performance in the Manipuri film 'Phijlgee Mami'. She won the national award along with a cash prize of Rs 50,000. The 111-minute film tells the story of a young girl Yaiphabee, who sets out on a journey to bring some changes and happiness in her family. The film delivers a strong and beautiful message about the mother-son relationship in the backdrop of present-day Manipur.
